1. Who we are

This Privacy Notice describes how Preset Generator ("Preset Generator", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our website and Service. Preset Generator is the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, login credentials (or OAuth identifier from your sign-in provider), profile picture.
  • Content you submit: reference photographs you upload, prompts you write, and the presets generated from them.
  • Support communications: messages you send to us by email or in-app, and our replies.
  • Usage and telemetry: pages viewed, features used, generation history, error logs, approximate timing.
  • Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, language.
  • Billing identifiers: subscription status and credit balance. Card and bank details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us.

3. How we use personal data and our legal basis

  • Provide the Service — create your account, generate presets, store your library, and deliver downloads (legal basis: performance of a contract).
  • Customer support — respond to your questions and troubleshoot issues (legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interests).
  • Security and fraud prevention — detect abuse, protect accounts, and enforce our Terms (legal basis: legitimate interests and legal obligations).
  • Service improvement and analytics — measure usage, debug, and improve features (legal basis: legitimate interests).
  • Billing and tax compliance — process payments and comply with tax and accounting rules (legal basis: contract and legal obligation).
  • Product communications — send transactional emails (e.g. receipts, security alerts). Marketing emails, where applicable, are sent only with consent (legal basis: consent), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share personal data with

  • Paddle — our Merchant of Record, which handles checkout, payments, subscription management, tax, invoicing, refunds, and related customer service for purchases. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
  • Service providers and subprocessors — including hosting and database providers, AI model providers we use to generate presets, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics tools. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards.
  • Authentication providers — if you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive basic profile information from that provider.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, and auditors where necessary.
  • Authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions issued by the relevant authorities.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Account data is kept for the life of your account and for a limited period after closure. Generation history and uploaded images are kept while needed to provide the Service and may be deleted on request. Billing records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. UK and EEA users have the rights set out in the UK GDPR and GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We aim to respond to requests within one month. 8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and secure the Service. We may also use limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Service.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Notice

We may update this Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
